The Mayor read the Webcast Announcement for the Meeting.
The Mayor suspended the meeting after representatives from Actions Against Cuts staged a peaceful protest within the Chamber.
The meeting resumed after the protest and the Mayor advised if there was a further invasion he would suspend the meeting until such times as order was restored.
Alderman McClintock sought a legal opinion on the matter of images of Members being taken without their consent.
In response, the Lead Legal Services Officer advised Members that Standing Orders stated that no filming during meetings was permitted. However, the meeting had been suspended, therefore standing orders did not apply.
Alderman Thompson stated that photographs had been taken before the suspension of the meeting.
