The Head of Culture presented the above report, previously circulated to Members. The purpose of the report was to update Members on the Sperrin Future Search process and recommend appointing two Elected Members to sit on the Sperrin Future Search Board.
In response to a query by Councillor M McHugh, the Director of Business and Culture confirmed that Members would not be required to make nominations at this point in time.
Alderman Hussey stated that he had attended the previous conferences and described them as tremendously worthwhile and engaged events, particularly from the stakeholders. He referred to the statutory agencies involved in the event and suggested that those agencies make a statutory contribution to the work undertaken by the Sperrin Future Search Board.
Recommended that Members note the content of the report and approve two Elected Members to sit on the Sperrins Future Search Board.
