Resolutions from Other Councils

The Chief Executive presented the above report, a copy of which had been previously circulated to Members.  The purpose of the report was to advise Members of correspondence received in relation to resolutions from other councils.

Councillor Campbell welcomed the correspondence from Donegal County Council and described them as neighbours who had recognised as this Council had recognised, the necessity for the Irish Language Act in the six counties.  He stated and it was this corporate body’s position that Irish rights were the rights of everyone and it was important to protect them.
